Aug. 23rd 20wks Half Way!!!

Today makes 20 weeks, crazy to think I'm already 1/2 way!
As you can see Corby is measuring 6.5 in Head to Bottom, 10in Head to Heel, weighs 10.5oz, and is about the size of a Banana!

I have been feeling him moving around for awhile now, but especially this last week! There is nothing sweeter than to feel your baby moving around inside, such a incredible miracle! I can't wait for the kids and Ryan to be able to feel it for themselves!

Aches and pains have definitely started a lot sooner with this pregnancy, but I am so overwhelmed with joy to be pregnant again, I'm really cherish every moment even the uncomfortable ones!

Aug. 23rd Charley's First Day Back to School

I had to go back to school today and I decided instead of taking Charley to my folks again with Brady it might be a good idea to take her to school to get her back in the swing of things sooner. Last year we struggled with tears and not wanting mama to leave so I wasn't sure what this year would be like. We literally have spent almost everyday of the summer together too, so I knew it might be a struggle, but she did great!

She is now in the 3's class with a new teachers Ms. Jean and Ms. Kim, she was a little apprehensive at first but went right to her new room, put her stuff and made sure to give her bubba a big hug!

Aug. 21st Last Day of Summer

It dawned on me late last night that today was my last day of summer, more importantly my last day with Brady before he starts back to school as a 1st grader. Back to work for me tomorrow and Friday and then school starts for both of us Monday. Lucky for me I get to switch my days so I will get to take Brady to school the first two days of school. Also, lucky for me even though school starts for me, I just work part time, so I still get to spend two of the week with Charley. So, it was important for me to spend some quality time just me and Brady today. I called up my BFF, total last minute and asked if she could keep Charley for a couple of hours while Brady and I go to lunch and of course she said yes.

Brady has been seeing commericals for Chuck E Cheese all summer and been begging to go. Me like probably most parents am not a fan of Chuck E Cheese, but I thought this would be a perfect time, just the two of us and not have to worry about chasing after Charley.

We weren't there but an hour, and just got 20 tokens, but he was completely content and happy! He got 64 tickets which was enough for the vampire glow n the dark teeth he eyed the minute we walked in and a little extra for a Chuck E Cheese whistle.

I can't believe its already time for school to start again and even more so that Brady will be in 1st grade. Its hard letting go sometimes as mama's, all I can do now is pray for him, that he will be surrounded by Christian friends and teachers, will be a leader and not a follower, and will shine his light brightly!

I love you Brady Boozer and am so proud of you!

Time to count them up
His teeth

And while we were gone, sister was played and enjoyed a picnic lunch with one of her BFFs

From Last Night
I couldn't not include this picture of the kids waiting for Ryan to get home from work. This is seriously one of their favorite times of the day! He always gets a grand welcome, not always outside but the minute he walks in, no matter where they are they stop what their doing, run and yell, "Daddy's home!" Makes my heart happy and for sure their daddy's!

Aug. 16th Wellness Check Ups

I can't remember the last time I posted a update on the kids wellness check ups. I'll admit the last two years I haven't been so good at getting Brady to his appointment on time, this year I was only 5 months late. Maybe late then never though right?

BRADY- 6yrs and 5months
Weight- 53lbs, in the 90th percentile (surprising to me, cause he's so skinny, He gained 9lbs this yr)
Height-49.5in, in the 95th percentile. (He grew 3.5 inches this year and from age 4 to 5 grew 4in)
Vision- 20/20

He has a huge foot, I just had to buy him a 4.5. He wears a 7 in pants but we are fixing to have to move up to a 8 slim. However, he can still fit into his size 5 shorts. His shirts are size 6, but long sleeve we are into 7s already.

He loves sports, baseball would probably be is number one, then football, soccer third. He is a typical boy, he loves to be active, loves action figures, ninja turtles, smurfs, power rangers. He loves to do anything with his daddy, especially playing ball with him and Rangers games. He loves to swim and has become a great swimmer.

He is tender hearted, sensitive, loving, and a very caring little boy yet competitive too. So competitiv, he gets very upset when he loses, he might have a little anger issue.

He is a rule follower for the most part, when he does get in trouble, a little raise of a voice and he's in tears.

He is also a bit stubborn, he likes to be right and would argue with a wall.

He loves his sister and really is the best big brother and is so excited to be having a little brother!

CHARLEY-3yrs
Weight-38lbs, in the 95th percentile (she gained 6lbs this year)
Height-40.25in, in the 95th percentile (she grew 5 inches this year)

Charley also has a big foot, she wears a 10. She is wearing a size 4 in most things, sometimes a size 5 in the shirt or pants are tight.

She is super active, so active and into things, I can't keep up with her. One minute she's playing with girly stuff like baby dolls and the next she's playing with Brady's spiderman. So she is a good mix of sporty girl! She loves Doc McStuffins, Minnie Mouse, Sofia the First, her kitchen, and baby dolls. She loves her daddy, she is definitely a daddy's girl! We haven't put her in anything yet, but I'm thinking about signing her up for gymnastics soon.

She has a sweet side for sure, but she can be a little mean too, she likes to push her brothers buttons. She is mischievous and stubborn. If I tried to punish her like I do Brady she would laugh in my face. Time out works best for her, she doesn't want to miss out on anything, so its torture for her, within seconds she's telling me, "Mommy, I ready to listen and obey!"

She's hilarious and crazy, she keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh!

She loves babies and will stop whatever she's doing to go love on one, I most excited to see her with Corby, b/c I think she is going to be a great big sister and helper, maybe too much of a helper at times, I will for sure have to keep my eye on her!

Confession/Defintion of Crazy

There's a reason my blog is called One Crazy Blessed Mama. The blessed is pretty obvious, I have been married to my junior high/high school/college sweetheart for 12yrs (been together for 20yrs), I have 2 beautiful children another on the way that are truly gifts from God, we have the best parents and siblings in the world that would do anything for us, are surrounded by childhood, college, and church friends that love us too. A wonderful church home, a beautiful house, etc, I could go on and on!

Now to the Crazy, that's probably obvious to those close to us, lol! Crazy can be looked at too ways, the first, Crazy Blessed, referring to seriously how beyond blessed we are or just Crazy by itself describing me :)! My name means Cheerful and I love life! I'm loud, some would say obnoxious, out going, spontaneous, an over laugher (not to mention snorter), and over reactor, just plain over the top sometimes! So here's just one example that I mentioned in the blog the other day I would tell you...

Ryan would say this is one of the stupidest things I've done, I would say now it was genius!

So, about 2 1/2 years ago I had gotten the kids some Easter baskets, really tins, from Personal Creations, which if you don't about this place it has some great pretty inexpensive personalized gifts for every occasion. After getting them, I got to thinking how sad it would be if we had another child that they wouldn't have one to match, these days you never know how long things will stay around. So I decided I would order one for my unborn or even un thought of child (un thought of on Ryan's end not mine, I thought about it all the time), problem was that when I tried to order it online it was requesting a personalization, so I decided to call instead. I told the operator a tiny white lie, I said we were expecting and didn't know the sex of the baby yet, it sounded a lot better than the truth, that I was ordering a basket for a kid I didn't have yet. I asked them if I could just leave it blank and they said no. So I did what any Crazy person would do I hung up and got back online and ordered one with the name Corby on it, if you read the Baby Reveal post, you'd know we had this name picked since before babies, so I knew I had a 50% chance that if we had another baby it possible could be a boy. Now let me clarify something, in my defense, the letters are not painted on, more like vinyl, so I knew if anything I could possibly take the letters off and paint on a girls name if I had too.

I was so thrilled to have all three baskets and just thought they were so stinkin cute that, come Halloween when they had the same type of tins, I did it again, lol.

It's even crazier to think now, that maybe I'm not so crazy since I am indeed having another one and he's name will be Corby! This precious baby has been was thought of and prayed for for years, and is already so loved! Can't wait to see Corby and his big brother and sister carry this together and someday I tell Corby how Crazy I was!

Oh and yes he has a Christmas stocking too, I made an extra one of those too just in case. No worry no name on it! One set of stockings just have initials, so I bought an extra C and the décor for a boy or girl, the other set has scrabble letters on it and I just made sure I had some extra.
So this was just smart planning not Crazy right?

Aug. 16th A Ray Of Sunshine

If you know me, you know I love my Starbucks, white chocolate mocha most of the year, pumpkin spice starting in the fall! You could say I was addict for sure, during the school year I typically was going everyday...I know, it's sad and expensive, I don't want to do the math.

I had two Starbucks stops depending on the days but the one on Hwy 26 is by far my favorite!!!!

They know my car, my name, my usual, and my kids. We started off having one special friend named Aaron who just loved Charley and she loved him, she would ask everyday when we drove up where her boy was then when we would get up to the window she'd play the shy game and hide from him. Then we met a new friend, we call her Red, just found out her real name is Sheree. She's always so happy and her smile is contagious!

I went to this Starbucks soon after I was found out I was pregnant, if fact days, no one knew. I pull up to order and when Aaron asked if I wanted my usual I said yes but decaf. He's immediate response was, "do you need to tell us something?" I said, "maybe!" When I got up to the window both Aaron and Red were smiling from ear to eat and asked, "are you pregnant?" And when I told them they screamed, lol! So fun right?

My stops to Starbucks have come to a stop recently b/c I don't drink caffeine while pregnant, so spending money on decaf coffee I can't always justify. I went for the first time in a long time 2days ago and spoke to Red, our usually small talk and when I drove away I noticed she had written ❤hi pretty mama on my cup, it totally made my day!

As silly as my Starbucks trips may be, I got to thinking about how neat it was that we had come across two such joyful people could who's small talk and contagious smiles made me and my kids feel so great, that's what we are called to do as Christians, be the light, spread His word, and show love. It's disappointing to think there are not more people out there like this. I decided the kids I needed to show some love back. We decided to go to the store and grab some sparkly fingernail polish, both kids got to pick out a color, if you know Red, would know she's cute, spunky, and always seems to sparkle, so I thought this was perfect! We grabbed a card that mentioned something to the affect of God blessing us through people and their kindness! We wrapped it up and went to Starbucks and the kids have it to her and I asked if we could take her picture, she probably thinks Im crazy, lol, but I wanted to share a little Jesus with her and let her know we appreciated her kindness!!

I don't tell you this to toot my horn, if anything to confess that I fail to always show God's love and it's a important to me that my kids see me do this more, so here's to baby steps.

BTW we found out Aaron is no longer working there, it makes me sad to think I missed my opportunity to show him a little Jesus and thank him for his kindness!

We may be the only Jesus people see so be the best Jesus you can be!

Aug. 15th Baby Reveal

We have all been waiting for this day for a long time, I'm so thankful we were out late last night at the Rangers game so I would be busy and try to get my mind off it and would be so tired I might sleep. Neither worked,  lol. I did sleep pretty good until 5am, I had to potty and then couldn't get stop thinking about it, so I got up to start working on the kids shirts and decorating the silly string cans.

If you know me, you know I love a shirt for every occasion, but this time I slacked a little on planning. I was just going to have them wear white shirts so the pink or blue silly string would so up, but the creative perfectionist in me decided the day before that would not do. So instead of having  shirts made, I just made them myself. I got both kids just a white t-shirt, got some sticky stencils letters to trace, (b/c I knew if I tried to do the letter myself it would take me hours, that I didn't have, and I wouldn't like it), and some fabric marker. To decorate and disguise the cans I got some white duck tape, washi tape (which was my first time to use it and I love), and some pink and blue ribbon.

***If a Silly String Reveal is something you decide to do a, here are a couple of tips***
1.Check out the Dollar store first for Silly String
2. Spray the cans ahead of time to make sure they all work, glad I did, b/c doing this I also found out Charley couldn't do it herself
3. Clean residue off after spraying, the pink especially after I sprayed it was completely pink on the inside, I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip to get everything out
4. For sneakys like I have in my family, I colored in the inside with black permanent marker just to make sure you couldn't see any color.
5. Mark the bottom of one can, so you'll know which is which. I marked all the boys (I had a gut feeling it was a boy all along but was afraid to say it out loud.
************************************************************************************

I made my appt. as early as possible so I wouldn't have to wait all day. Ryan headed to work early and was going to meet me at the doctor's office. The kids and I hoped in the car around 7:15am so I could drop them off at Mimi's.

I got to the doctor's office just at 8:00am and Ryan was right behind us, we maybe waited 10min before going into the sono room. My stomach was in knots, it didn't help I didn't have time to eat. Once we got in the room, she was able to show us so much, its so crazy, I had forgotten. We saw, the four chambers of the heart, the kidneys, the spine, femur, stomach, blood flow, brain, etc. Of course its nice to see all of that and know that everything looks good but I kept looking for any signs of the privates and I spotted it. She was looking at the stomach I think, and I spotted what I thought was a penis and asked her, "was that a penis?" she said she wasn't paying attention, figures. As we get done checking out all the parts she tries to find a good view, she had already mentioned several times she was having to chase our baby, he was moving all over the place, lol. She finally gets an upside view and says you spotted right, it's a boy!!!

I can't explain the feelings that went through me, as happy as I would have been to have another girl, something inside really wanted a boy, I would have never admitted it to anyone, and I kinda hate saying it out loud, b/c a healthy baby is really all I wanted, but something about having another boy, Charley being my one and only princess and sandwiched and protected always by two brothers just sounds perfect to me! (and makes having a Easter and Halloween basket with Corby's name on it already must easier, lol. This funny confession/story to come next) I am beyond blessed and truly amazed by God's continual blessings! Ryan admitted he's actually almost excited, as excited as Ryan Boozer gets a good friend said yesterday, lol.

Anyway on to the Reveal...
After leaving the doctor's office grinning from ear to ear, seriously couldn't stop smiling, I went to get Mimi and the kids and we drove to Nani's work to silly string her. Since I needed to help Charley spray I needed someone to take pictures and someone to take video. So I hid the kids in Nani's office and took my mom and her outside and gave them their cans, they we're hilarious, the pictures are priceless, so much so I put them on a slide show so you could see it like you were there. Once they were done, we realized the kids would see blue string, so we cleaned them off and sprayed some pink to trick them. We grabbed the kids and outside we went, unfortunately, Brady's didn't work at first, so we had to take a second video and Charley and I got sprayed right in the face, she wasn't a fan and the fumes were so strong and possibly got in Charley's mouth that she almost threw up! So in the pictures she looks like she's very almost about it being a boy but boy is what both of them and Ryan wanted from the get go. She was just over the silly string.
We sent the video and a few pics to the granddads and Aunt Stephanie and Aunt Tanya. Aunt Mandi was dropping her kids off with Mimi so we met up with her at Chili's and Brady decided to spray her. After we got Mandi I texted close friends and then put in FB!

Corby Reed Boozer will be our little boys name. Ryan and I picked this name out in college, originally Colby and then we changed it to Corby. When your together since junior high you have lots of time to talk and plan unborn children's names. It was only to be Brady's name until we discovered Brady and then was our boy name for Charley, so we are thrilled to finally get to use it and thrilled to meet him and love on him soon!
