We were told to get to the airport at least 3hrs prior to our departure time, so we thought we had to leave the hotel around 11:00am to make our 2:40 flight. Charley and I woke up around 8 and did our best to stay quiet while the boys slept. Remember Ryan didn't get it until 4am. So, we packed up everybody and got ready to go and the boys finally woke up around 10am.
We grabbed a quick bite at Plato's Café again, grabbed our bags, and checked out...boo!
The taxi ride was about 20-30min and almost turned into a puke fest, luckily we were able to cool Charley off and get her still enough to watch the road.
Once we got to the hotel we realized it was 2:40 Texas time, which meant 3:40 Bahamas time, so technically we could have hung out a little longer at the hotel. Surprisingly check in, customs, and waiting went pretty fast and the kids were great!
Charley and I fell asleep on the plane before it even took off, and probably slept an 1 1/2. We woke up just in time for the drink cart and snack. The boys watched a movie about before we knew it we were landing!
We had such a great time, I was super nervous going into this trip that it wouldn't be very relaxing with the kids and I was just worried about how they would act, but I am so happy to say the kids were fabulous and not only did we have a great time but Ryan and I both got to relax a little too! I'm so grateful that we were able to go on this vacation, our first family of four vacation by ourselves and probably our last! I love making memories like this!
