Friday Favorites

I'm joining in on Friday Favorites with these fab bloggers above and more! Considering I am now training for my 1/2 marathon I thought I'd share some favorite fitness stuff, along with some other fun stuff!

FIRST
My Kate Spade leopard (b/c I LOVE anything LEOPARD) bluetooth headphones, which I got on sale at TJ Maxx, one of my favorite stores, and sadly I can't find them online for you.

SECOND
My Nathan QuickDraw Plus water bottle, for my longs runs I have to hydrate and this is what I've found is the easiest and most comfortable to use. I do admit it gets to bothering after a few miles but I'd rather be bothered than dehydrated. It has not only a great easy comfortable grip but also a place for your keys, drivers license, money, etc whatever you like to have on you when you run.

You an also see me in my new favorite UA Run Seamless pants I introduced you to yesterday on Hilary's Huge Finds!

THIRD
The shoe tag from Road ID, I found this years ago when I was training for my very first marathon. I'm normally super naive and a positive thinker so I wasn't sure why one of these would be important but after going on long runs, gone for hours, sometimes running in the middle of nowhere, I learned you can never be too safe. I haven't update mine since we moved a couple of years ago, so I can't wait to get my new one!
 FOURTH
My after workout smoothie Emerald Energy at Lifetime Fitness that I have to fight Corby off of! It's made with avocado, kale, pineapple, almond milk, vegan max, and energy boost. I have not attempted to make it myself but I did find the recipe below on  Pinterest and I'm going to try it out, sure would save me some $.

 Servings: 1
Prep time: 10 minutes
Blend time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ cup soft ice
  • 2 stalks kale
  • ½ medium avocado
  • ¼ cup diced pineapple
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Directions
  1. Let ice sit out for 5 minutes.
  2. Add all ingredients to the blender
  3. Blend everything until smooth
We love it so much, I created his own hashtag on my IG account, lol

FIFTH
I don't run in anything else but my Thorlo Roll-Top socks, they are just enough thickness and cushion for my feet and just a little Hilary bonus material, for any runners out there, sounds gross, but rubbing Vaseline on and between your toes helps with blisters!

Okay, enough about fitness, here's a couple to just favorite life stuff...

SIX, SEVEN, & EIGHT
I love making lunches fun and I'd love to do it everyday but I just don't have the time but here is one of my fun yet super easy go to lunches and lunchboxes for the kids. They love Lunchables, but I don't always love the cost, so I figured out how to make my own Lunchable pizza. Cut out 4 tortillas or how ever many they would eat using the bottom of any can you have in your pantry, find a great dividable lunch container and add the fixings.
I love the Yum Box for smaller lunches and fits great in most lunchboxes. For more elaborate lunches I love Go Green Lunchbox
The Yum Box

I include a long skinny spoon to make getting pizza sauce out easier.

NINE
My Kiddos love veggies, thank you Jesus, and they would eat them plain but they would prefer to dip them in ranch like most humans and their veggies. I had tried every container I could get my hands on and done were ever spill proof, the kids would either one throw my containers away or two they would have ranch all over the inside of their lunchbox, so this solved both problems. My only problem is I can only find them at Super Target my grocery store does not carry them.

TEN
This girl and Matilda Jane. I have decided not to return as a Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper this season. I am super sad, I love everything about Matilda Jane, and not just the clothes but the company and what it stands for, however, I bit off a little more than I could chew this last year. I thought I would be able to juggle being a Trunk Keeper while being a stay at home but it seems I have filled up my calendar more now being home than I did when I worked, all with good things but just too much and something had to go. I know most of you would agree that family comes first, and the thought of having to give up being at one of my kids school events or extra curricular activities or missing out on family time just didn't sit right with me. So sadly this is what had to go.
I will be having a huge 50% off sample sale soon, I'll keep ya posted on a date. Charley and I will still be supporting MJ by buying it still of course!
